Our October meeting was great as usual! First we have some show and tell....
Theresa did this great applique quilt as a block of the month. I love the black and white checked (pieced) sashing!
Becky had this great modern top done in solids.
And another more traditional top
And a little argyle. I think Becky needs to get to quilting!
A cute crib sized quilt, also by Becky.
And finally her Perfect Ten.
Get to work quilting, Becky!
Now to Betty's apron...
And her beautiful Swoon quilt.
Here's Trish's A River Runs Through It quilt. The water represents the James River.
Laura showed us her super cute pillow....
And her pretty flower quilt.
Our youngest member, Lily, made some mug rugs for Midlothian Day.
And Margot loves pumpkins! And bats, I'd guess...
Truda showed her amazing applique quilt. Amazing. She used Kaffe fabrics.
She had some leftover pieces...
And I love her flower quilt. So graphic!
For her Modern technique, Candy told us of her newfound love for layer cakes.
For our demo, Trish told us how to make her wonderful tree pins. Here she is showing the back of the project...
And talking about her favorite gel medium.
Here's what you end up with after you've added glitter but before you cut into shapes...
The final product! These are so cute!
