September Show and Tell

Our September meeting had a lot of great show and tell (as usual)! Many were items that people had made for our big sale at Midlothian Day on Saturday. There's still time to submit items! Remember, we're raising funds so we can buy our own projection equipment. It's for a good cause! I apologize for not getting a picture of each type of item that people had (some had more than one thing). You all move so fast!

First we have Theresa and some of her ornaments.
Alma made wrist cuffs with clips to hold keys, wallets, etc.

And I had to put in this photo because I love it! Even though you can't tell what she's holding....

Jackie made tissue holders...

Betty, prolific as usual, made lots of thing including bags...

...and mug rugs for Santa.

 Cheryl made fabric bowls...

... and an ornament

I can't remember if Laura's bag was for sale or for herself so I'm using it to transition to the other show and tell. ;-)

Check out Cindy's eyeglasses quilt. The watch faces have the dates of her grandchildren's birthdays!

We got a sneak peek of the raffle quilt for the 2014 Richmond Quilt Guild show made by the Friendship Circle group of the Richmond Quilt Guild. The kit was provided by Laura Blanchard of Plum Tree Quilts and it was pieced by the members of the guild. Quilting was done by Virginia Longarm. You'll get to purchase tickets for this beauty at the show which is September 20 and 21, 2014.

And finally, we have Candy's improv quilt which took us into her Modern lecture for the month.

I'm looking forward to Friday's meeting, which features Trish showing us how she made the tree pins that she gave out last year at our holiday meeting. Go Trish! What fun!
