Snip and Rip!

Our May meeting was fun as usual! First the show and tell...

This quilt by Jackie had lots of Marcia Derse fabrics!

Cheryl showed a commission quilt she's been working on for St. Catherine's.

Laura made this lovely sunflower wall hanging.

Betty, as usual, was prolific! this cool bag...

...and awesome marshmallow wall hanging...

...And a big quilt!

From big to tiny -- Truda always has work in her hands.

Mary showed this piece with real shells on it...
Susan made this quilt top during our sew-in!

Candy showed this log cabin before her talk on color value.
Here are Jackie and Margaret showing examples from Candy's talk. Candy put these together with one block being from another value. Can you find the block in each sample?

Then the main event, which I have been referring to as Snip and Rip! It was fantastic and everyone who came participated! What happened was, everyone brought one yard of Kona cotton. Then there were a series of instructions to snip and rip the fabric and we all ended up with a different array of colors. Participants are to make something with them and bring it back in June or July. No pressure, just fun! Here are our colors!

Here are just some of the color arrays....
